Open Access

Open Access is the term ascribed to the publication model that makes electronic versions of articles accessible to readers usually via the internet, without any subscription or 'access side' fees.

BluePen Journals strongly supports the Open Access models as espoused by the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and the Bethesda Statement on open access publishing, which seek to ensure that scholarly publishing activities operate in a long term sustainable way. Therefore, it is a condition of publication that authors or copyright owners who wish to publish their article with BluePen Journals irrevocable grant(s) to any third party, in advance and in perpetuity; the right to use, reproduce or disseminate the research article in its entirety or in part, in any format or medium, provided that no substantive errors are introduced in the process, proper attribution of authorship and correct citation details are given, and that the bibliographic details are not changed. However, if any article is reproduced or disseminated in part, this must be clearly and unequivocally indicated.
